PiCar Challenge 2025: Inspiring Innovation in Science and Technology

From January 13–16, 2025, the Alpha Institute of Technology proudly hosted the PiCar Challenge 2025, an exciting event sponsored by THE Tech to ignite a passion for science and technology among students. The competition centered around the intelligent platform PiCar-X, offering participants the opportunity to delve into programming, electronics, and autonomous control systems.

The challenge was open to undergraduate students (1st–4th year) with a keen interest in these fields. Out of many applicants, 12 talented students were selected from KRSU, AUCA, Ala-Too University, and KSTU to participate. Over a short period, they mastered Raspberry Pi, complex algorithms, and electronic components to build and program their PiCars.

A highlight of the event was a keynote session by Lorina, a senior software engineer with over five years of experience in the autonomous vehicle industry. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Entwicklerburg, the first Kyrgyz IT company specializing in software development for autonomous mobility and embedded systems, for serving as the distinguished judging panel.

After a fierce and innovative competition, the winning team emerged from Ala-Too University, showcasing exceptional skill and creativity.

The PiCar Challenge is just the beginning, as CAEDMI AIT plans to make such events a regular tradition to foster innovation and inspire the next generation of tech leaders. Congratulations to all the participants, and we look forward to future challenges!
